Academy Truck Driving School offers a variety of truck training courses based on a number of factors. The course you choose may depend on your previous experience, employment, and eligibility for government funding. To find out if you are eligible for government funding, visit our links page to contact the City of Windsor or your local Employment and Training Services office. Depending on your circumstances and previous experience, you may qualify for various different options. Please select the type of training you are interested in below.

Getting Started
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid Ontario G license or higher.
Must pass an MTO Medical Examination. This is a basic medical test proving you are medically fit to obtain a commercial license. This is to be filled out by any doctor in the province of Ontario. It is not covered under O.H.I.P, therefore there is usually a minimum fee of $85 and up.
As well as a grade 10 education or an equivalent test (SLE Scholastic Level Exam)

Must pass an MTO Written Knowledge Test. This test is written at the Drive Test Center before starting your AZ Course. (The fee is $23.75 for the written test and $99.00 to prepay for the road test.)
In some cases, you may need to provide a Police Clearance and a Record of Employment.
